Teaching Empathy Using Gadgets
Part 3 of a 3 part series.
So far, we’ve looked at teaching empathy in the online world using gaming, video, virtual reality, and simulations. Today we look at some unexpected ways new technology is able to help us teach or learn empathy, often more directly than a virtual experience.
In a recent contributing op-ed in The New York Times, “Empathy Gadgets,” Sandeep Jahuar wrote of his experience feeling simulated tremors of Parkinson’s disease with a new device called the SymPulse.
